A unique and colourful embroidered wall tapestry woven by the Uros peoples on the floating islands of Lake Titicaca. This hand sewn Peruvian wall hanging contains many ancient Incan gods and goddesses, including Pachamama (“Mother Earth”).

The Uros people of Lake Titicaca are renowned for their unique way of life on floating islands constructed entirely from totora reeds. These reeds are not just the building material for the islands but also used for weaving various items, including clothing, household goods, and crafts.

Generous in size, proportion and filled with vibrant hand dyed colours, the tapestry is stitched onto a black background for added impact. Can be used on a wall hanging, table centrepiece or hung over a bed, trunk, or banister.
